I'm just using the stuff at the blacksmith's place, but I can figure out a way to get a blowtorch rigged up, which'll give me a bit more precision. We'd need a fume hood to take care of the heat, but in the absence of one of those, doing it by the water's the best I can realistically offer.

Wanna share this info with the rest of the class? How deep does it go?

Her claws don't extend completely out of her arm. There's always a section that remains inside her hand, to provide for balance while she uses them. That section is also covered in metal.

So like a badger or something. Got it. How finely can you control your metal thing? Any chance you've tried anything subatomic? Maybe we can remove it in thin layers, like nanometer thin, to do the least amount of damage and make it hurt as little as possible.
