Character Name: Erik Lehnsherr
Age: 62 years old
Canon: X-Men Cinematic Universe
Canon Point: After X-Men: Dark Phoenix
Character History: Magneto/Erik Lehnsherr (revised timeline) @ X-Men Movies Wiki
Canon Abilities: Erik is an extremely powerful mutant, with not many others being revealed to be stronger than him (for instance, Jean Grey and Apocalypse). His abilities revolve around magnetokinesis; he is capable of creating and manipulating powerful magnetic fields, which allows him to control metal in a variety of ways:

β€’ Metal manipulation: He can easily move pieces of metal of various sizes, using smaller ones like bullets or greater ones as blunt instruments. He's capable of altering the trajectory of bullets and other metal-made projectiles, and changing the way certain mechanical devices work. He can launch several items in rapid succession, and at great speeds, and he shows to be capable of performing several of these actions at once.

β€’ Flight: Erik can fly by gliding on magnetic fields he creates, or by wearing metallic items that he can control in order to fly or levitate. He can also draw himself to metal, as if he were a magnet.

β€’ Metal sensing: Erik can sense the presence of metal across great distances, with the ability being stronger and more accurate the closer that metal is to him. This of course allows him to know exactly how to use his environment to his own advantage, and often catch enemies by surprise.

β€’ Magnetic force fields: Through the creation of magnetic fields, Erik is capable of generating strong force fields which are impossible (at least so far) to penetrate. Although only used to shield himself in canon, it's reasonable to assume he could use this ability to also shield others who are near him.

β€’ Metallic bonding: Erik can implant metal into objects or people in order to control them.

Inventory: Magneto's helmet; his daughter's necklace; a small photo album with pictures of his wife and daughter

πŸ¦‹ Personality

Option 1: Answer the following questions. Elaborate on the answer, especially your characters thoughts and feelings surrounding the answer. For Canon Characters, you can choose four questions. For Original Characters, you will need to choose six questions. Keep the word count to 150-400 per question.
  1. Has your character always believed in magic? Do they have something influencing their perspective on the supernatural/metaphysical/spiritual from their past? How do they feel about magic?

  2. Erik has never really considered magic, though he isn't outright averse to it. He's a mutant, a fraction of Earth's population that possesses unique abilities and powers which are granted by a mutation in their genetic codeβ€” while there's a more scientific explanation for that to exist in his reality, he's not entirely closed off to the possibility that there could exist magic elsewhere, even if not in his own world. Given the world he's come from, his familiarity with magic comes largely from fiction, fantasy stories and old mythical tales, so any contact he has with magic will take some getting used to. He will be surprised and puzzled about the existence of this realm, and it will likely take him a moment to even understand where he is or that he was brought here by magic, but he won't refuse to accept it as a reality in this universe.

  3. What mythological creature would your character most like to be? Which do they identify with? Which would they dread being? Feel free to use our Bestiary for reference.

  4. Erik would be a fury. While he has become much more peaceful and calm with the years passing, he is, at the bottom of it all, a vengeful person, always one injustice away from unleashing his rage and seeking revenge. From the first moment that he lost his parents at the hands of Nazis, and having watched his mother being shot only so that his powers would be unlocked, Erik has always fed the anger in him, and garnered energy from it as well over the years. Whether he is pushing back against the hatred, fear and persecution so often aimed at his own kind, or he's looking for payback when the people he loves are hurt or killed, there's always the chance that he's going to embrace the rage burning in him, and let it guide the hand of punishment and retribution, even at the cost of his own peace.

  5. If your character could ask for one wish, and it's going to be magically granted without any consequence, what will it be and why?

  6. Erik would wish for mutants to be allowed to live at peace, completely free of dicrimination, hatred and persecution. After exacting his revenge for the death of his mother, and ever since learning of the existence of mutants, Erik has fully dedicated himself to the mutant cause, fighting for the rights of his kind, albeit often going to rather more extreme measures than his counterpart and oldest friend, Charles Xavier. Despite his complicated and ever-changing relationship with humans, Erik would wish that all who were born on Earth could share the world that belongs to them all. Not just that humans could accept them and finally understand that they don't need to fear them, but also that mutants could feel safe once again, neither afraid of living openly, resigned to being outcasts simply because they're different, or building resentment and hatred towards humans due to the way they've been treated all their lives.

  7. If you'd like pixies to change one event in your character's life, what would it be and why?

  8. Erik has suffered a lot of loss and mistreatment in his life, from being an Auschwitz survivor to seeing many of his loved ones get hurt or die, often (if not always) due to him, his powers or who he is. These experiences have shaped the man that he is today, but if there's one thing I wish could be changed for him, it's the senseless death of his wife Magda, and his daughther Nina. Not only did he lose them when he was at a point in his life where he was content to lead a life in seclusion and anonymity, it was the closest he has ever been to finding true peace and happiness. Their loss left a void in him that won't ever just disappear, and it's even worse still when he knows that they died because he was a mutant, one who was wanted as a criminal and terrorist. It's hard to say where he would be today if they hadn't died, nevertheless it's an event that could change in his life without entirely erasing everything he's lived through, and all the changes that have happened to mutantkind because of his involvement, whether good or bad.

    πŸ¦‹ Fae Court

List your top three choices for your characters adoptive court. The mods will choose the one out of those three options that seems the most fitting based on your app.
    • Autumn

    • Winter

    • Dusk

Ability: Do you want your character to gain the ability of their court? (Delete the other two options.)
    3) Yes, but they either have no ability of their own, or they refuse to trade theirs away; they will buy their court's ability on credit.
